Acquisition of early Hipkiss drawing

Hipkiss about the origins of their draughtmanship: “We were very involved with the music scene in our youth and through our twenties and thirties, and from 1991, we got to know a group called Manic Street Preachers, who were touring the UK. We spent some time with them during those early years, sharing political ideas and discussions about music and art, and many of the figures in the picture are tributes to them as well as our own alter-egos.”
