Louis Marcussen has lived more than 56 years in the psychiatric institute of Aarhus. Under the pseudonyme Ovartaci, Danish for ‘supreme fool’, he created his extreme world of beauty. Exhibition in Museum Dr Guislain: February 5 – May 8, 2011. Afterwards the exhibition will be travelling to Dolhuys Haarlem, Prinzhorn Sammlung, Heidelberg.

(Nederlands) Eind 2010 heropende het Franse ‘Museum voor moderne kunst, hedendaagse kunst en Art Brut’ in Villeneuve-d’Ascq vlakbij Lille. Kortweg: LaM. In 1999 kreeg de Aracine collectie met meer dan 3.500 Art Brut werken ook een vaste plek in het museum. In de eerste wisselexpositie Habiter poétiquement le monde / Dichterlijk wonen heeft het werk van Willem van Genk een prominente plek gekregen.
