Bosker, Okko

Okko Bosker had a room built at the back of his home to house his collection of historical objects: stoneware flagons and pieces of rock that fishermen on the Waddenzee and Zuyder Zee found in their nets. In the 1930s Bosker illuminated fragments of 12th-century Carolingian tombstone with historical themes. The highlights he applied with his brush and paint caused religious and historical figures to emerge.
