Meurer’s father was a woodsman and self-taught naturalist. He called his son ‘Gladiator’ and encouraged him the use of pincers and knives, to work up materials as wire, metal parts and wood. He also passed on his passion for motor-bike mechanics. Around his house he collects ‘matter’ which he transforms in animated hybrid creatures.
